This is interesting. The voting mechanism means voters have to enter candidates according to preference.
If there is no clear winner then the second place candidate gets the prize.
This typifies Labour thinking which is why push for excellence when mediocrity is good enough.
Don’t let people excel because you need to ensure that those who lack commitment or drive and are holding everyone else back need to have time and effort spent on them to bring them up to mediocrity.
