The Most Noble Thing

Or how Noble and Humble are related

We live in exciting times, we have WWIII just round the corner thanks to Kim Jong Un and the whole USA/Russia thing. We have the great European departure known as brexit and of course most importantly, Eurovision is just round the corner.

As we all get ready to stuff ourselves to become bloated masses over the Easter period and set against the turbulent background of global chaos perhaps we should spend a bit of time thinking about the most noble thing.

A thing that is unassuming, that we all enjoy, that is relaxing and probably has great health benefits.

The ‘thing’ in question is outdoors, you need to get to it.. or indeed them, and your interaction with it… or them.. is one of life’s little pleasures. Yet this noble thing wants nothing in return with the exception of a crust or two because the most noble thing is the duck.

The waterfowl that we love to throw bread to, we like to watch and to be honest here. Though it may not be actually true that a duck’s quack doesn’t echo, it is a pleasant sound.

Ducks are not demanding in any way, sure you can give them bread but IN GENERAL (before you start commenting) they don’t come at you demanding food. If you don’t feed them they’ll just swim about or fly away. this is humble.

After death they continue to give pleasure ideally in a crispy and aromatic form with pancakes and plum sauce.

Everyone loves ducks!
