Apparently, We’ve All Been Prepping Beans On Toast Wrong
We, on this blog are very much in favour of good and correct behaviour. We are equally in favour of high quality food made from sustainable ingredients. You can imagine the shock and awe in the research lab when an article about beans on toast was found which told us our fundamental life principles were.. well.. all wrong.
Beans on toast is a peculiarly British… nay English thing. It is a quick evening meal for the kids or a lunchtime treat. Baked beans are healthy(ish), nutritious and of course a Trumpesque shade of orange.
Not only ave we been potentially using the wrong bread, the wrong butter and the wrong eating irons but even the basics of heating your beans (not a euphemism) is all wrong.
On seeing this, many Brits will now be deeply ashamed of their continual mistreatment of the humble baked bean and for once, this blog’s point of view has been completely unaltered by this high value news.
Here’s a link to said article.
Footnote: Like pineapple on pizza, there is no place for baked beans on a traditional full English breakfast. You can disagree if you wish but it does not change that fact.
