Shallow Election Promises
It’s Promise O’Clock in Election improbable promise saga
The predictability of it all
Yes peeps it is election promise-o-rama time where those with little brain (and I don’t mean Paddington) make promises to those who they think have even less brains. That in itself should alert you to their duplicity.
“We will increase public sector pay in line with inflation” – Does this get your vote?
Yes, ready to rush to the polling booth and put a tick next to whatever-party-made-this-promise?
REALLY? When inflation is currently 0%. . no I didn’t think so.
Make sure you ready for more election promises like that one!
I really thought he’d died years ago
There was something on telly today about the Welsh National Party (I think) and there was a speaker who was so far left he was on the verge of total socialism. . ring any alarm bells yet?
This person went on to say that the minimum wage should be £25K. . . “what’s wrong with that. . . . pause for applause. . . .extended pause for applause. . . .applause”.
WHAT’S WRONG WITH THAT? Dipstick! All of those sacrifices made by everyone to reduce overspending will be insignificant next to the savings necessary to pay for a minimum wage of £25k.
Yes you guessed it the recently re-incarnated Arthur Scargill is back, think ‘miners strike’, think “totally unrealistic policies”, think “WTF?”
On the other hand, we should glad he’s still around, it is a crying shame that he has had to go to Wales to be able to get a voice and yes the voice is as annoying as ever but then we need some comedy in this promise-o-rama stage of the election of the century.
