Engineers Working to Resolve Issue With Voyager 1 Computer

Our avid fans will know how much we here at MACNPT love the Voyager probes. Launched about 50 years ago the two Voyager probes have seen our entire solar system. Their original mission was to visit the outer planets, the gas giants.

Back in the 1970s things were designed to be robust, to last, to easily meet their design goals. Grated the probes have suffered a bit, not all of their instrumentation is running. Power remains an issue but then the power units were never designed to run this long.

On the subject of time, the Voyager management teams must be very patient. It takes 45 hours to send a message and receive a response. Imagine then how frustrating it must be when you send an “Oi! are you OK out there mate?” onluy to get “10101010101010101010” back.

Sadly Voyager 1 seems to have an issue.. we all hope that NASA can fix it as it goes off into interstellar space.

Good luck Voyager
